WDWCP Journal - Entry #14

IntroDUCKtion Seminar

My first actual seminar is over, and I can say that this part of the college program appears to be easier than I thought it was going to be. I'll definitely be working toward my Ducktorate. This semester is the last time that they will be offering the Core Business Seminars, so to me, the requirements seem very relaxed. All I'm required to complete in order to receive my degree is the 7 seminars, and 4 electives. I've been thinking about getting my French Language Pin, so my four elective could be 'refresher courses' in French. That way, I'm working towards two goals at once. The seminar itself was okay, the only thing that would make it better would be if we were able to sit at tables. We were given binders to write in (they contain the material for all of the seminars) but we just sit in chairs. It becomes difficult after an hour - in business dress - balance a binder and still take notes. There won't be any pictures on this page, because there was really nothing to take pictures of. Today was basically an overview of the rest of the seminars. We went over what was expected of us at each seminar - show up, stay awake, be properly dressed - stuff like that. We also learned a little bit about networking, and some of the options we have for that. It was fun, but nothing I would brag about. Hopefully the next seminars will be exciting, and I'll be able to take pictures of them.

Wanna know what happens next? Well then, all you gotta do is go to my *Leadership Competencies* page!

Or you could go back to the table of contents for my journal.

Still, you could choose to go back home.
