WDWCP Journal - Entry #10
Our Very Own Aquarium
Okay, everyone has seen the picture of my room, and the pyramids on the wall. Well, our apartment decided we needed another wall hanging, and we decided that we would go with a fish theme since we had the magnetic fish that my friend Lela bought me since we couldn't have real pets here at Vista Way. So off to Wal-Mart we went to buy the same washable poster paint that I used for the pyramids and a big white sheet. I laid out the sheet in the hallway, and got Jeremy from Jay's apartment to draw us a big fish scene. I started painting, and got all of the water painted, and all of the seaweed done too. Then it was too late to paint anymore, so I pulled the sheet over the railing to dry. Of course the paint bleed through, but I knew it would and I wasn't worried. I left it on the porch for a couple of days at home and it washed right off. So the next morning, security came knocking on our door to tell us that we needed to take the sheet down off the railing. Then they saw the paint on the hallway. Okay, this is where the story turns weird! The security guard told us that we needed to clean the paint up right away. We didn't think much of it, so we brought in the sheet and then we began to clean the hallway. One problem, the paint wasn't coming up. We went to Wal-Mart, and bought a scrub brush and some bleach. That didn't work. Now we're in trouble. The next day, security came by again - to tell us that if we didn't get the paint cleaned up, we would be written up and summited to housing for review. So I'm out scrubbing the hallway like Cinderella, and Jill bought markers so we could finish the fish. All in all it worked out ok. The paint disappeared enough to keep security happy, and our mural is finished too.
This is Me hanging up the sheet in the living room/dining room/kitchen area.
This is just a picture of how the mural looks.
This is the greatest picture of all time. Here I am scrubbing the hallway on my hands and knees, praying the paint will come off of the floor!
Wanna know what happens next? Well then, all you gotta do is go to my Julie page!
Or you could go back to the table of contents for my journal.
Still, you could choose to go back home.
